State Minister Muhammad Fneish patronized on Thursday a workshop held at Radisson hotel on administrating the municipal projects organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the European Union, in presence of EU ambassadors\' representative and delegations from more than 24 municipal unions. Fneish delivered a word on this occasion affirming that Lebanon has resumed its municipal work since the 1992 elections; this is why we are highly interested in developing municipalities\' potentials. This is not a political procedure but a developmental one mainly concerned with reactivating regions and municipalities, he said, adding that choosing the municipal council\'s members based on their degrees is not enough to pick those who can work efficiently in administrating the municipal developmental projects and be held responsible for their municipalities\' growth. The Minister noted that its Ministry\'s developmental project was put into action in 2007, yet many gaps hampered its total execution. He also said we must benefit from all the available potentials in a bid to improve our region\'s social and economic conditions, according to the European Union\'s measures.
