Egyptian crew members of the ship \'\'Suez\'\' which had been abducted by Somali pirates last August after the required ransom was paid to the pirates. The 11 Egyptian sailors expressed pleasure for returning to Egypt after the over 11 months of detention by the Somali pirates, pointing to the mistreatment by the pirates during the period of their detention and the subjection to death due to bad weather and lack of food and water that forced them to drink sea water. The Egyptian ship, which was carrying 11 Egyptians and 11 Pakistanis, hijacked by Somali pirates in August last year, was released after payment of a USD 2 million ransom of which Egypt a million and a half the Pakistani side half a million. However the ship sank off the coast of Oman due to bad weather.
