Caretaker President Foued Mebazaa met, on Monday, with National Defence Minister Abdelkrim Zbidi and Lieutenant-General, Chief of Staff of the three Armies Rachid Ammar. The meeting focused, in particular, on the security situation on the Tunisian-Libyan border and necessary measures to preserve security and stability in these areas. Emphasis was placed on the major efforts made by the National Army in this area and the humanitarian action, allowing essentially to provide basic commodities to refugees whatever their belonging or nationality and ensure medical and health care to the wounded whose number has increased in the recent days. The Caretaker President recommended stepping up assistance to the Libyan refugees in Tunisia and continuing efforts to ensure the security of borders with Libya, pending possible consequences of the situation in Libya which has not yet stabilised
