A British delegation from the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas) paid a five-day visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The move was coordination with the Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) under the joint agreement to exchange visits and expertise.
The British team and SCE specialists visited a number of coastline areas and collected samples from sea water and residues from different areas, including Tubli Bay.
The samples will be tested at the Cefas laboratories in the United Kingdom to determine and follow-up the quality of marine environment in Bahrain.
The plan aims to support the SCE-led efforts to promote marine environment and monitor the potential sources of pollution.
