The first-phase procurement of 40 F-15K jets was completed in 2008, South Korea\'s (Yonhap) news agency reported. \"The new F-15K fighter jets with tail numbers 49 and 50 arrived yesterday at the 11th Fighter Wing in Daegu,\" an Air Force official said. The remaining 11 F-15K fighters will be handed over to the Air Force by March next year, according to the official. With a combat range of 1,800 kilometers, the F-15K is an advanced variant of the combat-proven F-15E, it said. One of the 40 F-15Ks delivered under the first-phase project crashed in 2006 after the pilot lost consciousness from exposure to excessive gravitational force, a phenomenon known as G-Loc
