Security sources declared that no information is available so far about the two Lebanese killed in Tal Kalakh, in Syria. Sources told 'Arabstoday' that families in the northern Lebanese border towns of Mashta Hassan and Mashta Hammoud have received information that two Lebanese citizens and a Syrian man were killed and two Syrians wounded, after they found themselves in the middle of a gunfire on the Al-Jaafariyat bridge in the Syrian town. According to sources, the rapidly-spreading reports have claimed that among those killed were “a Syrian citizen, who owns a pastry shop in the Lebanese town of Mashta Hassan; a Lebanese citizen from Mashta Hammoud and another Lebanese citizen from Mashta Hassan." As for the two wounded Syrians, who were detained by the Syrian authorities, they have not been identified yet, according to the reports. However, the residents of the two Lebanese towns “are still trying to confirm the reports, although the aforementioned individuals have recently vanished without making any contact with their families”. A security report revealed that a 10- years old wounded Syrian child was taken from the Syrian territory to a hospital Tripoli Medical Centre (TMC). Meanwhile, the news also spread about an attempt of attacking a security source in Beirut and the issue of blocking the data communication by the telecommunication Minister from the Directorate of the Internal Security Forces. A security source confirmed that investigations are going on, yet the blocking of data communication prevents us to have access to more in-depth details on the matter. The Interior Minister Marwan Charbel is to meet the Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui in order to discuss a proper mechanism to allow the security services to access data communication. Meanwhile, a rally of the Syrian community in Lebanon crowded in front of the Russian embassy greeting the Russian and Chinese positions supporting the Syrian leadership.
