Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo witnessed violent clashes on Monday evening between a number of street vendors, and members of the People\'s Committee of Protestors. The clashes occurred after serious altercations, whereby some used knives and stones to fight with. According to eyewitnesses, a number of street vendors in the area were standing near the demonstrators, however, the members of the People\'s Committee in the area did not want them there, and this led to the outbreak of the clashes.
