Clashes renewed in Cairo Friday, between demonstrators of the "Million Man" march supporting the ruling Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) in Hadayek al-Kobba Square, and a number of the inhabitants of the area who were against the rally. This came at a time when the Egyptian TV announced the lifting of the curfew, which had been imposed on the Abbasiya area and the vicinity of the defence ministry. Eye witnesses told Arabstoday, that the clashes happened when one of the regimes pro-junta, provoked the inhabitants of the area by infiltrating the forces separating the two groups and shouting against them. This incident caused the inhabitants and the protesters to throw rocks at each other. Security forces interfered in an attempt to contain the situation and clear the way for passing cars.
