His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, on Wednesday, patronized the launch of the U.S Armed Forces Association for Communications and Electronics (AFCEA) in Jordan; the first of its kind in the Middle East.
The association’s executive officer in Jordan, Rola Ammouri, said it aims to develop the technology and knowledge sectors, by spreading awareness among the public and university students, in order to achieve significant development in other sectors, leading to a proper use of technology and knowledge, which in turn leads to safer societies.
The ceremony was held at the King Hussein Business Park (KHBP) and saw the signing of a cooperation agreement between the AFCEA and the Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), under which the launch of the association’s services in Jordan will be announced.
The AFCEA, which was founded in the United States in 1946, is a non-profit international organization and a forum for military, government and industry communities to collaborate in areas of communications, information technology, intelligence and security.
