The United Nation Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Derek Plumbly, denied any intention of deploying UNIFIL troops(United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon). This came in response to accusations by the Syrian representative at the United Nations, Bashar Jaafari of UNIFIL\'s intentions to do so. Earlier in May, Jaafari claimed in a complaint to the United Nations, that Lebanon is a source of terrorism and weapon smuggling into Syria. Plumbly, confirmed that Lebanon doesn\'t constitute any threat on Syria and that according to investigations, what happened in Akkar is totally different from the description provided in the report before the international organisation. Plumby told the \"Voice of Lebanon - Voice of Freedom and Dignity\" radio station that, calling political rivals for dialogue is very important, stressing the necessity to negotiate over the issue of illegal weapons spreading in Lebanon, because such weapons arouse fears and cause improper and inappropriate accidents. Lebanon\'s president, general Michel Sleiman has invited political rivals to come to the negotiating table at the Baabda Palace, for the first week in June.
