Bahrain’s Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa ordered an immediate probe to investigate the blaze which gutted the Isa Town Souq in the capital Manama on Sunday, which caused the complete destruction of up to 450 shops, the Bahraini News Agency (BNA) reported. Goods worth of hundreds of thousands of dollars were lost in the major fire that gutted the popular market, but no human injuries were casualties. Firemen took more than five hours to bring the blaze under control, BNA reported. The fire broke out at around 5pm local time at one store and quickly spread to the rest of the market, causing traders to flee with whatever they could salvage.
