A senior Jordanian citizen, burnt himself on Monday in the commercial market in downtown Amman. A medical source at the Al Bashir Hospital, said the state of the injured man was critical as the fire consumed 90% of the surface of his body. There have been conflicting reports from eyewitnesses as to the nature of the burning and the reasons behind the act. Some claim he was unable to pay his billswhile others said he was a government employee was fired from his job. The police confirmed they were investigating the matter and had notified the family.
