Comptroller of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan Hammam Saeed called on the Jordanian government to recall the Jordanian Ambassador in Damascus and expel the Syrian Ambassador in Amman in protest of what it described as “a policy of crackdown and murder practiced by the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad against his people”. Saeed applauded, in a statement on Wednesday, the stance of countries who expelled Assad's ambassadors from their countries, calling on the remaining Arab and Islamic countries to take similar approaches. He indicated that the continuous shelling of civilians, including women, children, and senior citizens, in addition to destroying cities, called for prompt response to put an end to the bloodshed.
