Swiss ambassador to Jordan, Hans-Peter Lenz, Monday, said the Jordanian-Swiss relations are “good” and there are plenty of opportunities to develop them in various political and socio-economic fields.
He said his country takes into account the developments in the situation in the region and its ramification on Jordan.
Speaking to Petra on the occasion of Switzerland’s national day, which falls Tuesday, the envoy said Jordanian and Swiss officials will meet for a series of political dialogues in Amman next month. He emphasized the importance of the international community to shoulder its responsibilities toward the refugees and help Jordan to enable it continue its humanitarian role.
The ambassador also spoke about a humanitarian assistance program which his country implements to help Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey.
