National Transitional Council head Mustafa Abdel Jalil appealed for patience on Monday in response to a protest by residents of the Libyan city of Benghazi over a lack of transparency in the NTC. \"I want to reassure Libyans that a lot will be done. Be patient,\" Abdel Jalil said in a brief statement to reporters in Tripoli. He pledged the NTC would be more transparent in its activities. \"The NTC will start its own website on which the list of its members and the activities of the NTC will be made public,\" he said. About 200 demonstrators gathered earlier the same day in the eastern city of Benghazi, cradle of the uprising which toppled Moamer Kadhafi, to protest against Abdel Jalil and the NTC for their lack of transparency. On Sunday, a senior official from the New York-based Human Rights Watch also voiced concern over transparency in the NTC.
