Israeli police allowed 12 soldiers and 11 settlers to enter the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on Wednesday, via the Mughrabi gate, amid tight security by special Isreali Defence Force units. Eyewitnesses stated that settlers toured the Al-Kas area then turned back, whereas soldiers continued through the grounds and corridors of the holy mosque. Extremist settler groups have been reported to have distributed leaflets calling for \"the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque\" in order to impose “Jewish sovereignty” and practice Talmudic rituals.
