Political Bureau member of the Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza, Mohammed Al-Hindi denied that Hamas made a final decision to move to the Bahraini capital, Manama, instead of Damascus in the light of the current events in Syria. Al-Hindi said in press statements on the sidelines of a political seminar, organized by the movement in Gaza, on Tuesday that: “there is no intention to move the movement’s offices out of Syria.” The seminar had discussed many issues, including the memorial of the Secretary – General Fathi Shaikaki, which will take place on October 28th in Gaza city, in addition to the Palestinian demand in the United Nations, and confirming the importance of achieving the Palestinian reconciliation in the meantime. Al-Hindi confirmed that the celebration of the 26th anniversary of the movement will be different this year because of the current local and regional developments. A-Hindi stressed that the UN bid is a conspiracy to cover the long-term direct negotiations, he said: “this Palestinian state will be a catastrophe on top of all the catastrophes Palestinians have suffered.” He added: “Israel is the one who invented the two- state idea, because it’s the biggest beneficiary of establishing the state of Palestine.” He pointed that “Israel wants to establish a Palestinian state to obtain its own security.” In the same context, Al-Hindi confirmed that the Arabs revolutions came as a result of people’s determination, to restore their dignity and freedom. He said: “when you see the Arab nations free and strong, you will find Islam more powerful and will find the influential presence of Palestine.” He added, we are not asking the Arab people to lift the siege on Gaza, but we ask them to obtain their freedom and dignity. He stressed that the revolutions taking place in the Arab region are a real.
