Israeli warplanes fired at least one rocket, Saturday morning, at a group of resistance fighters near Gaza airport, east Rafah. Sources stated that Israeli Apache planes roamed the air of Rafah for more than hour before it fires the rocket, but no casualties have been reported. Eyewitnesses said the resistance group survived the shelling, however, the Israeli planes shelled the same spot again after less than five minutes, causing no casualties. Conversely, the Israeli radio announced that a rocket fell on south Israel Friday evening, adding that it was fired from Gaza Strip, falling in an open area of the Eshkol Regional Council, west Negev, without reporting casualties or damage. The IAF strikes on Rafah are thought to be retaliation of the rocket fired at Eshkol. Resistance factions in Gaza Strip did not claim responsibility for said rocket until now. In a relevant context, IDF arrested Bassam Rihan (28 years) at the Beit Hanoun crossing, north Gaza, while on his medical trip to the occupied West Bank to treat his injuries, which were caused by multiple shots to the thighs, during the Al-Furqan War on Gaza. Rihan’s father stated that his son was on his way to the West Bank with his aunt, when the IDF arrested him at the Beit Hannoun Crossing and sending his aunt back to Gaza. He pointed out that the Israeli Intelligence called him, a few hours following his son’s arrest, and informed him that he will be taken to al-Majdal Prison, without notifying him of the reasons of the arrest.
