Medical and security sources in Tora prison have confirmed to Arabstoday that the health of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak has shown slight improvement, a day after his return to prison from Maadi military hospital. Mubarak was apparently surprised at the news that his health had improved and was returning to prison. Medical sources said\" \"Mubarak\'s health improved further hours after he returned to Tora prison hospital. On Tuesday he started walking around the hospital and responded to food and medicine. He didn’t use any ventilator machines unlike the first time he was transferred to Tora following his life sentence. The general attorney decided Monday night to returning Mubarak to Tora prison hospital, after his health improved, in order to continue his sentence. Security sources at Tora confirmed to Arabstoday that in the instance that Mubarak reached stability, he would be returned to his his cell instead of staying in the prison\'s hospital. He will reportedly be imprisoned close to former interior minister Habib el Adly. Sources confirmed that the normal prison regulations would be applied on Mubarak, such as visiting hours, and his request for visitors will be according to the rules, which permit close relatives to accompany the prisoner inside the prison hospital. The two lawyers volunteering as Mubarak\'s defence, Yousry Abdul Razik and Mohamed Abdul Razik blamed the Egyptian attorney general Abdel-Majid Mahmoud of \"criminal responsibility\" for the ousted president\'s deteriorating health, demanding him be transferred to the International Medical Centre or any other military hospital. \"The medical committee headed by a senior forensic medical examiner, two of his assistants, the prison medical director, and two of his professors in Kasr El Aini Cairo University, examined Mubarak and presented a non-biased report... the attorney general violated law no 35 of the year 1979 on honouring October war leaders, and refraining from applying article 108 of the military judicial law which prohibits them from being put in any civil prison,\" said the statement. Mubarak supporters called for a protest in front of the attorney general\'s office saying they would reveal information on Mubarak\'s health.
