The former Lebanese prime minister, Saad Hariri said Thursday: “The International Criminal Court will issue today its verdict on the ex-president of Liberia Charles Tayor on charges of crimes against humanity, which is the first time an international court has issued a sentence against a former state president. This constitutes great hope for all of those who are waiting for the international court verdict on Lebanon”. Hariri considered: “a day that is full of hope for the Syrian people as well, as Bashar al-Assad would, one day be tried for the crimes he is committing against his people.” On the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the Syrian army withdrawal from Lebanon, he praised the forme president Rafiq Hariri, as well as all the "martyrs" who sacrificed their lives for Lebanon’s freedom.
