The Hamas movement in Gaza renewed its commitment to implement a reconciliation with its Palestinian rival Fatah, calling on the latter to cooperate to end division between Palestinians. In a statement issued Friday evening marking "Land Day", Hamas stressed that it will never abandon the Palestinian prisoners in “occupation” jails. Hamas called on all Arab and Muslim people to shoulder their responsibilities to end the Gaza blockade. It also praised the Palestinian resistance that has struggled with the Israeli occupation since 1948. The Islamic movement repeated that the resistance, in all its forms, will remain the only option for Palestinians to end the occupation of their land and get back their rights.
