Yousef Rizqa, a political advisor to Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed that Haniyeh’s visits to some Arab and Islamic countries were “successful”, describing them as “political declarations” of ending Gaza blockade. He added in a press statement, on Saturday, that these visits have positive effects on the Palestinian cause. Rizqa also denied what was reported about changing Hamas headquarters from Damascus to Tunis. Tunisian political circles expected that Haniyeh’s two-day visit to Tunisia, in which he met the Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, the leader of Ennahda Party Rached Ghanouchi, along with other members of the Tunisian government, as well as the Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki, will be followed by opening Hamas headquarters in Tunis.
