The General People\'s Congress party (GPC), headed by Yemen\'s former president, denied on Monday that Ali Abdullah Saleh planned to leave for the UAE, saying \"no one has the right to impose these pressures on him\". A diplomatic source said on Sunday that the Gulf states pressured him to get out of the way of his successor, Abdrabuh Mansour Hadi, in order to ease tensions which are further complicating efforts to stabilise the country. Russia has said that it is willing to take in Saleh. \"Al motamar net\", a GPC news website, said \"such misleading rumors\" would \"serve those who still represent an obstacle to ending security, political tension, military division, as well as the implementation of the Gulf initiative\".
