The GCC member states strongly denounced the air attacks on Syrian city of Aleppo that resulted in hundreds of casualties including women, children and elderly people.
In a press statement today GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid Al-Zayani said "The atrocities against the Syrian people require an immediate intervention by the UNSC to stop the aggression on Aleppo and put an end to the suffering of the brotherly people of Syria," he stressed.
"The GCC states urge the international community to respond effectively to the appalling crimes being committed against the residents of Aleppo and other Syrian cities with all kinds of weapons, including the banned ones,". Dr. Al-Zayani renewed GCC member states' call for the international community to enforce the UN Security Council resolutions on the crisis in Syria.
