The son of former Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi has asked for a trial at The Hague instead of in Libya. The lawyer for 40-year-old Seif al-Islam Gadhafi said the younger son of the late dictator fears for his life in Libya and would not expect a fair trial, preferring to be tried at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands. They quoted him as saying he does not fear death, but if he is executed after a trial in Libya it should simply be called murder. He has already been indicted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. Libyan militia authorities are determined to try Seif in Libya, arguing he should face justice in his own country, the Tripoli, Libya, Post reported Friday.
