Fatah spokesman Osama Qawasmi described the calls made by Palestinian activists to establish a state in Gaza as “tendentious exaggerations." Qawasmi said to Arabstoday: "Those who call for the establishment of a state in Gaza support the occupation’s desires to split the Palestinian territories to cantons." Fatah spokesman said these activists are counted to be from "Hamas", which attempts to establish a "Principality of darkness" in Gaza by the force of weapons. He added: "The Fatah movement rejects these calls that not only serve the perceptions of Israel and its vision for the sustainability of the current Palestinian situation, but it is also a failure to understand the dangers that surround the Palestinian National cause." “Gaza, which has always been the fortress of advanced Palestinian Nationalism never turned its eyes away from the north which sees itself as an integral part of the land of our fathers and grandfathers, and the idea of ??the state of Gaza is the same idea of the ??temporary state suggested by Israel in order to exclude Gaza from the public Palestinian context. An idea that was rejected by the legitimate leadership of the Palestinian people, represented by President Abu Mazen. The national project based on a Palestinian state will continue to be the compass of the Palestinian struggle till their aspirations and hopes of returning "and liberation the state. He stressed: "The rights of people cannot be reduced to individual and partisan projects. There is a golden opportunity to redeem the national cause and the resumption of the necessary steps for reviving the reconciliation process, through the resumption of the voter registration process in Gaza.". t."Some news agencies quoted the invitation of a group of activists to establish a state in Gaza, as: "available and urgen."
