Emirati government summoned Iran’s acting Ambassador to Abu Dhabi to express protest against the Iranian approach to support Houthi militias with weapons.
Emirates’ Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Abdel Rehim Al Awady summoned Iran’s Acting Ambassador and handed him a memorandum to express protest against the Iranian policy based on providing the Houthi militants with weapons in a clear violation to the security resolution banning such approach.
Awady said that the Security Council’s resolutions over Yemen are clear, saying that the Iranian government provides the Yemeni militias with weapons, including drones.
