Twelve people were injured in Egypt’s Sharqiya governorate on Monday in an attack on an Amr Moussa’s presidential campaign rally. The campaign has blamed the attack on \"thugs\". The campaign also held the government responsible for the lack of sufficient security which supposedly let the attack happen. Moussa posted in his Twitter account that the country’s responsibility to secure presidential elections started now, stating that “repeated attacks on presidential candidates and members of their campaigns is unacceptable.” He added: “Not securing presidential elections in their different stages affects the electoral process and questions its integrity.” The campaign reportedly has videos of the attackers.
