The likely candidate for the Egyptian presidency, Amr Moussa, was submitted to a violent attack by those present at the Conference of the National Council, which was held in Cairo on Tuesday with the aim of developing an agreement on the constitutional principles. Those attending rejected his participation in their conceptualization of the government, accusing him of being a relic of the former regime, who will one day not oppose Mubarek and his corrupt regime. They claimed that in light of his approach throughout his political career, he could not now be a national man. One of the attendees at the conference said: \"Egypt cannot be ruled by this man. He was part of the former regime, even after moving to the Arab League.\" Some of the attendees presented Musa\'s previous statements concerning Mubarek and his regime, emphasizing the words that he used in them. The consultant Tahani Al-Jabali, Vice President of the Supreme Constitutional Court, announced the principles of the proposed vision for the government during the conference, which had been prepared with the assistance of representatives from different political forces. 200 representatives attended the conference.
