Egypt troops in Sinai will \'cancel Israel treaty\'

According to Israel\'s Channel 7, Dayan said that the demilitarisation of Sinai was the essence of the agreement between Israel and Egypt. \"If this clause is not followed, the convention will have no meaning and will be cancelled in the future,\" he said. Dayan asked the Israeli government not to waiver any agreements with the Palestinians concerning the presence of Israeli troops around the Jordan river because this, according to Dayan, strategically strengthened Israel\'s position. The former government official, who was head of Israeli National Security, said 10 years ago the Israel had resolves its position on negotiations with the Palestinians; that there was no opportunity or way to reach a permanent settlement with them while there was continual corruption inside the Palestinian Authority that could lead to the Israeli public losing confidence in their government.
