Former Egyptian leader Essam Sharaf’s government issued a decision to give the former prime minister Ahmed Nazif 10,000 Egyptian pounds, a document has revealed. The document, which ‘Arabstoday’ has got a copy of, was issued on June 15 of this year, which means it was issued in the era of the Sharaf's now resigned government. The document sparked off controversy especially as Nazif was charged with wasting public money after the money was issued. It was after five months of the departure of Nazif’s cabinet and the Egyptian January 25 revolution. Officials of Sharaf's government declined to comment, saying it was only in the jurisdiction of the Treasury and Prime Minister.
