Demonstrators have gathered in Cairo\'s Tahrir Square on Friday morning to participate in what they are calling \"Steadfast Friday\" called by political and revolutionary parties in support of President Mohammed Morsi. The participants are calling for the Supplementary Constitutional Declaration to be dropped which was issued by the Military Council at the end of June. They have also demanded the Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) to step down from political life, the purging of the Egyptian judiciary as well as protesting f the Supreme Constitutional Court\'s decision to dissolve parliament. Demonstrators have erected a platform near Mohammed Mahmoud Street, next to the American University, to broadcast the demonstration. The platform has already started to broadcast some verses from the Koran. A number of movements and parties are participating in the Friday demonstrations including  the Muslim Brotherhood , Islamic Group, Salafi Front, National Front, April 6 Movement, supporters of Sheikh Hazem Salah Abu Ismail, Freedom and Justice Party, Al-Asalah Party and  the Construction and the Development Party. A number of parties and revolutionary forces declared their non-participation in the demonstrations, including the Tagammu Party, Free Egyptians Party, Wafd Party, Egyptian Socialist Party, in addition to several liberal and leftist parties and movements.
