US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that “the Tunisian revolution gave hope to many peoples as it produced a radical change in the Tunisians’ lives.” She declared in a press conference during her visit to Tunisia: “I came to this country holding a defined and committed declaration to support the political and economical reforms taking place in Tunisia”, explaining that, “the political side of the Tunisian revolution is satisfactory, and I am one of the strongest supporters of the democracy in Tunisia and its achievements”. She said: “The biggest challenge facing Tunisia is how to make economic development move in line with political development.\" Clinton undertook that Washington would help Tunisia in building its economy and reinforcing its democratic system. She said that Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki\'s speech at the opening of the Friends of Syria conference had a \"strong message\". Clinton has now left for Algeria on her Maghreb tour.
