Cairo Criminal Court acquitted the Egyptian businessman, Hussein salem from the charge of exporting gas to Israel, while other defendants are accused of wasting public money by selling Egyptian gas at low prices.
Hussein Salem’s defense attorney, Mahmoud Kbeish said that, the Court of Cassation upheld the acquittals of the case in favor of the original defendants, and refused the public prosecution’s appeal in this case. He added that, these verdicts prove the validity of the exporting contract and deny any violation to the process of the exporting.
