Moroccan prime minister Abdelilah Benkirane is to appear before the House of Representatives on May 14 to answer questions on political issues. This is the first time a Moroccan head of state has been called to parliament. The move is seen as one of the effects of Morocco\'s newly drafted constitution. Benkirane commented on criticism from the opposition, saying: “Moroccans have voted for us for five years, not 100 days.” He continued that the assessment of the government’s work in less than four months raised issues that he didn\'t want to discuss. He called to think of new solutions for reform, warning his supporters in parliament from being unjustly in favour of his governance.
