The deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) in Gaza, Ahmed Bahr called for the Palestinian President and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas and the security services in West Bank to open the PLC in Ramallah to its members from all Palestinian factions. He said in a press release on Saturday evening that opening of the PLC in Ramallah is a national duty, considering it as a “real test” for President Abbas and Fatah’s security services. Moreover, Bahr called Parliamentary blocs to hold a session about arresting PLC Speaker Aziz Dweik, demanding parliaments in Arab countries to put pressure on Israel to release Dweik and all Palestinian prisoners in Israel. Further, Bahr called for Palestinians in West Bank to organize marches that denounce Dweik’s arrest.
