Algerian security reinforced its presence in the Algerian capital\'s affluent suburbs including governmental headquarters and embassies due to the fear of extremist attacks during the upcoming Fitr feast. This measure was brought into effect to secure transport of the Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to the feast to pray in the big mosque in the middle of the Algerian capital. Sources from the general directorate for national security added that \"they recruited about 6,000 officers to inside the capital. Completing the stated security plan which started at the beginning of Ramadan which also secures some internal areas near the capital in the states of Boumerdes east of the capital and Tizi Ouzou, a stronghold for militant groups. These areas were described as a \"dangerous triangle\". Security has secured a large number of mountains after watching militant groups\' movements in trying to enter the capital and show its power. The security plan including distributing from three to four security assistants through local districts and near to official military headquarters ready for any emergency or military attack. The general director of Algerian Security Abdel Ghany al-Halem stressed on different occasions the importance of saving security for seizing militant groups to weaken their movement. Lately the number of attacks decreased in Algeria due to the strong security plans and intelligence work which aborted many attempted targets in sensitive places apart from the last bombing in the state of Ouargla southern Algeria that targeted a military barrack. The Algerian interior minister Dahou Oueld Kablia declared days ago: \"the ministry isn’t able to determine the exact number of terrorists in the mountains.\"
