The Arab League's Secretary General, Nabil Al-Arabi confirmed during a press conference on Monday, that the Syrian army withdrew from major cities, adding that snipers and gunfire continue to threaten civilian lives. Al-Arabi also stated that the Arab League mission was able to supply humanitarian aid. He also defended the mission which was criticized by Syrian activists saying the "mission needs more time." It’s worth mentioning that, the Arab League held this press conference in order to discuss the mission of the observers role in Syria, and stressing the Syrian commitment to the Arab League protocol to end the violence against the protesters and end the crisis.
