The Abu Ali Mustafa brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), announced on Thursday that they fired at Israeli targets in north Gaza. The armed outfit said in a press statement that fighters fired rocket-propelled grenades at an Israeli vehicle north of Beit Hanoun. They said it was a response to the "ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and their brave prisoners". The brigades warned: "If any harm comes to our courageous prisoners, especially our secretary-general, Commander Ahmad Saadat, it will be a disaster for Israel. The resistance will not stand idly in front of the occupier's crimes and we will inevitably win". The secretary-general of the PFLP, Ahmad Saadat, was recently transferred to the Ramallah prison hospital following his deteriorating health due to a hunger strike which thousands of Palestinian prisoners initiated few weeks ago
