Tim Hassan: ‘A true artist must diversify’ Cairo - Mohamed Alloush Syrian actor Tim Hassan talked exclusively to Arabstoday about his new series Alsakr Shaheen. Hassan explained that he is excited about the imminent release of his latest television project, the plot of which depicts the life of a fisherman and, more broadly, the relationship between humankind and the sea. He revealed that he plays the role of a brave fisherman who stands up to the corrupt mafia running his industry. “I’ve never played a character like him before,” the actor commented, “That is what encouraged me to accept the role.” Tim stressed that he believes in the importance of taking on a variety of roles as an actor, saying “a true artist should diversify and take on different roles.” Alongside Tim Hassan the TV series is set to star: Rania Farid Shawki, Sawsan Badr, Ahmed Zaher and Hossam Shaaban. It was written by Yusuf Islam and directed by Abdul Aziz Hashad. Al Hayat TV has acquired the rights to air the series, but hasn’t yet set a date for it to be broadcast.
