Karim stars in Blue Elephant with a bumper cast Cairo - Taha Hafez Egyptian actress Nelly Karim has told Arabstoday she is “moved to tears” by recent events in Egypt, adding that she regularly appeals to God to save her country. The star has also said how much she enjoys performing in roles taken from literary works. “So I’m happy with my new film Blue Elephant,” she added, a new release based on a novel by writer Ahmad Murad. Karim Abdul Aziz, Khalid Sawi and Darren Hadad also appear alongside her. In Blue Elephant, Karim plays Lubna, an emotional portrayal of a girl troubled by disputes with her brother and partner. The film will be released next Ramadan.
