As part of the ‘Your Health Matters’ initiative, the General Secretariat of Dubai's Supreme Legislation Committee, SLC, today organised a first-aid training workshop for its employees in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority.
The initiative aims to promote health awareness as key to SLC employees’ health, safety and overall well-being, adopting international best practices. The initiative is in line with the SLC’s commitment to creating a healthy work environment conducive to its employees’ happiness.
Ahmed Bin Meshar, SLC Secretary-General, said, "The SLC is fully committed to creating a work environment that ensures its employees’ health and safety, which are among the SLC's strategic priorities. This is achieved in cooperation with the concerned government entities, foremost among which is the DHA, through providing the best means of educating employees on the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle based on positive values. This is in harmony with the vision of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who said, ‘Healthcare is an issue that cannot be overlooked because it is instrumental in bringing happiness to all members of the community’."
The ‘Your Health Matters’ initiative event has featured a wide range of interactive activities, healthcare games, free blood pressure and cholesterol checks, in addition to one-on-one counselling on healthy eating, happiness and positivity, health issues, and how to quit smoking.
