Health Minister Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer went on an inspection tour to Al-Sabah medical district to follow up the functioning of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation hospital, Badriya Al-Ahmad Center for chemotherapy and stem cell transplantation, Hussain Makki Juma Centre of Oncology and Yaqoub Behbehani Center for laboratories and transplants. During his inspection tour, Al-Sayer discussed on Wednesday with officials of the Physical Medicine and rehbilitation hospital the best ways to improve the level of medical services provided by the hospital for the patients, and to overcome all the difficulties. The hospitals\' director Dr. Dalal Al-Wadaani told Kuwait News Agency on the sidelines of the tour, that the hospital lacks staff of rehabilitation therapy specialits, and Dr. Al-Sayer promised to fill the shortage of specialists as soon as possible. Dr. Al-Sayer stressed the need to shorten the wait time of patients, in order to provide the needed service, as well as the need of the presence of senior officials at the hospitals at all times, Al-Wadaani said. During his visitation, Al-Sayer was briefed on the quality of services provided by the different centers and hospitals, and stressed to improve the quality of health services across the country. Furthermore, Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi from Hussain Makki Juma Center of Oncology said that the Minister called the technical department of the center to rehabilitate the first and second wards of the old cancer center as soon as possible.
