Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Moustafa Madboli got briefed on the design of Abu El Reesh Children's Hospital in Upper Egypt.
This came during a meeting held between the minister and Professor at Cairo University's Faculty of Engineering Tamer Fouad who is tasked with preparing the design.
The Housing Ministry is expected to implement two hospitals in New Beni Suef City, while Cairo and Beni Suef Universities will be assigned with managing and operating them.
Madboli hailed the efforts exerted to prepare the design which was sent to an international firm specialized in accrediting buildings and medical utilities.
The minister gave directives to swiftly finalize the drawings of the hospital to assign one of the construction companies to implement it immediately.
Madboli said also that the New Urban Communities Authority will implement the two hospitals, adding that plots of lands will be allocated for this purpose.
This comes within the framework of the authority's social and development role to provide medical services for the residents of the new cities especially in Upper Egypt.
The minister affirmed that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi follows up implementing the hospital to alleviate the suffering of the children in Upper Egyptian governorates and offer them good medical services.
