Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has donated US$1million in support to the programmes of the King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC) in Jordon.
Bilal Al Bodour, the UAE Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan presented the cheque to Princess Dina Mired, Director-General of KHCC. The UAE envoy was accompanied by Consul Faisal Ahmed Al Malik and a number of Embassy's officials.
Princess Mired thanked the UAE and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the ERC, for this generous gesture, citing the UAE's humanitarian role at the regional and international levels.
Ambassador Al Bodour stressed the depth of bilateral relations under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Abdullah II of Jordan. He also commended the efforts of the centre to fight this serious disease.
