H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Dhafra Region and President of Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has emphasised that the ERC is entering a new stage of humanitarian action, generous giving as well as challenges that should be countered by a stronger commitment to humanitarian values and the development of relevant strategies.
He made the remark as he received a group of officials from the Emirates Red Crescent led by Chairman of the Board Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei and Secretary-General Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, who briefed him about the agency's humanitarian programmes inside and outside the UAE.
Emphasising that these programmes require stronger partnerships with individuals and organisations, Sheikh Hamdan urged the agency's officials to double the efforts to fulfill increasing humanitarian needs.
The meeting took place at Sheikh Hamdan's al-Nakheel Palace.
