The Dubai Health Authority, DHA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the Swiss Business Council to promote integrated elderly care in Dubai.
As part of the MoU the Council will organise a series of conferences and workshops to discuss the latest advances in geriatric care and will organise training in highly integrated elderly care to help improve knowledge of healthcare professionals in this field so that they are up-to-date with the latest in geriatric care.
The MoU was signed at the DHA headquarters by Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of Dubai Health Authority and Peter Harradine, President of the Swiss Business Council in presence of senior officials including Swiss Ambassador to the UAE, Maya Tissafi.
The MoU will help facilitate knowledge transfer and transfer of expertise in the field of geriatric care.
Al Qatami said: " The DHA is keen to promote growth and development in the health sector and excellence of specialized medical services is a key focus area. Geriatric care is an important field of healthcare, especially since life expectancy has increased, the percentage of elderly population is growing, and thus we are keen to provide comprehensive geriatric care. This memorandum provides an opportunity to further strengthen our expertise in this field and it will help further strengthen the ongoing relationship between Dubai and Switzerland."
Ambassador Maya Tissafi said that this partnership will help further strengthen relations between the UAE and Switzerland and will help facilitate transfer of knowledge and expertise.
