The fifth International Symposium on Gastroenterology on Friday opened in Mostar, a city in South of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
The symposium was joined by some 40 experts and professors in gastroenterology from BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Montenegro, local media reported.
It will focus on latest developments in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology, said Milenko Benvada, an expert from BiH.
One of the topics will be information on treatment of hepatitis C and hepatitis B, he said, adding the symposium was a good opportunity to give people more information and knowledge of gastroenterology.
There will be dozens of lectures mainly on gastroenterology during the two-day symposium
