A Bahraini national in his fifties has undergone a successful kidney transplant at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC).
Visiting physicians Dr. Maamoun Ahmed Al-Bashir, Dr. Samer Mohammed Al-Jizawi and SMC kidney transplant doctors took part in conducting the successful surgery.
The daughter, who is in her twenties, donated one of her kidneys to her father who was admitted to Bahrain’s largest public hospital for treatment.
The father is the fourth Bahraini national to undergo as successful kidney transplant at Salmaniya hospital.
The SMC medical team extended thanks to Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh and senior officials for providing all requirements to carry out transplants and alleviate the pain of patients suffering from Kidney failure and other renal diseases.
