Serves 6 Prep time: 20 mins Cooking time: 25 mins Ingredients 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp bread spices (yeast and fennel) salt, to taste, oil, for frying 1 tsp cumin 2 onions, grated 450g minced beef or lamb 1 tsp ground black pepper Preparation 1. Season the flour with bread spices and salt. Add a few drops of oil, then water, mixing thoroughly until the dough is soft. Divide dough into small pieces, place on a tray and allow to rise in a warm place for an hour. 2. To prepare meat stuffing, heat 1 tsp oil in a saucepan and crackle cumin seeds. Add onion and sauté until golden brown. Add ground meat, salt and pepper and cook over low heat. Remove from pan and set stuffing aside to cool slightly. 3. On a floured surface, flatten dough into thin discs. Place a tbsp of sautéed meat in the centre of each disc and seal by twisting the edges. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep-fry sambosek on both sides. Serve hot.
